7. 8. Dr. Alok Kumar Srivastava (Director), Dr. Hillol Chakdar (Sr. Scientist) and Dr. Shobit Thapa Scientist (Sr. Scale) are Representing ICAR-NBAIM in the national level committee responsible for the formulation of standards in the field of Biodiversity by Bureau of Indian Standards (2024).

2023-24

1. Dr. Hillol Chakdar visited KACC, The Republic of South Korea in May 2023 to attend the 22nd Annual Meeting of ACM and delivered a invited lecture on “Fostering Agricultural Sustainability through microbial research: Role of NAIMCC in India”

2. Obtained copyright for Indian Soil Microbiome Project website. Reg. No. L-137419/2023 dt. 8-12-2023. Successfully executed a consultancy project signed between ICAR-NBAIM and M/s Magic Mitra, Ahmedabad for the consultancy project on “Quality improvement of microbe-based biostimulant” on 09-Feb-2024 for one year.

3. Dr. Pramod Kumar Sahu received Best oral presentation award in National Conference on "Nurturing Agricultural Advancement and Sustainability 2024" (NAAAS 2024, 10th & 11th February) organized by Society of Agriculture Research and Social Development (New Delhi) and Sampoorna International Institute of Agri. Science & Horticultural Technology, Maddur In Association with the University of Mysore.

4. Resource person to deliver a lecture in “Volatilomics: A key to understand plant-microbe interactions and stress management in crop plants for a greener tomorrow” at CAFT Microbiology at TNAU, Tamilnadu, 01-10 Feb2024.

2022-23

1. Dr. Surfrider Paul received Best Paper Award in DBT and CSIR Sponsored organized by Dept. of biotechnology & bioinformatics Bishop Heber College -Tiruchirappalli International virtual conference on Biological Innovation & Computational Exploration for Pandemic Challenges (BIPAC'22) from 24th and 25th January, 2022.

2. Dr. Renu, Principal Scientist has been elected as Executive committee member of Society of Plant Research from 2021-24 (Life membership SPR-LM-215)

3. Dr. Pramod Kumar Sahu, Scientist (Senior Scale), Agricultural Microbiology, was awarded the Association of Microbiologists of India’s Young Scientist Award 2022 in Agricultural Microbiology on February 3, 2023, at the 63rd International Conference of AMI at MDU University, Rohtak, Haryana. He received this award in recognition of his research work on agricultural microbiology. He has made significant contributions in the fields of bacterial endophyte research for plant growth, biological control of plant pathogens, and salinity stress tolerance and has made more than 60 research and review publications in journals of national and international repute.

4. Dr. Pramod Kumar Sahu, Scientist (Senior Scale), Agricultural Microbiology, was awarded the NAAS Young Scientist Award 2021 in Plant Protection on June 5, 2022, at the NASC Complex, New Delhi. He received this award in recognition of his work on plant-microbe interaction, biological control of plant pathogens, and endophyte-mediated abiotic stress tolerance. A very notable contribution was to develop techniques for the resurgence of virulence in Ralstonia solanacearum. He has developed an efficient system for selection of bacterial endophytes using multiple mechanisms for biocontrol of fungal pathogens and also formulated a fluid bed-dried microbial consortium.

5. Dr. Ruchi Srivastava, Senior Research Fellow, ICAR-NBAIM was awarded International Travel Support for FEMS conference on Microbiology, Belgrade, Serbia for attending the FEMS conference on Microbiology-2022 from June 30th to July 2nd, 2022, in Belgrade, Serbia, and presented her research paper entitled "Analysis of putative biosynthetic gene clusters and antimicrobial peptides in the genome of Bacillus subtilis RC 25". She has also received International Travel Support (ITS) from DST (the Department of Science and Technology) for attending this international conference.

 

2021-22
